About That Dog

This year, we can look forward to greeting not one but two Marathon Dogs. They are Jimmy and Jade, Golden Retrievers, not related to the late and famous Spencer but equally loving and eager to greet both Marathoners and the thousands of fans along the way. They are best friends who belong to Richard and Dorrie Powers of Ashland, Massachusetts. Richard has accustomed them to being with a lot of people all at once, so the exuberant Marathon fans hold no fear for them. Jade is a trained therapy dog, and Jimmy will soon be certified also. Richard and Dorrie look forward to a happy Marathon day.
